BREAKFAST AND MORE
Here at Hidden Garden Cottages & Suites, we take a different approach towards breakfast. For our first seven years here in Saugatuck, we ran a very traditional Bed & Breakfast. Guests could eat family style at a large dining room table between 8:30 am and 10:30 am. This approach had its advantages and disadvantages, but we’d always have guests who would sneak down at the very end, hoping not to run into other people. We get it, sometimes you just don’t want to be social.
When we designed Hidden Garden Cottages & Suites, we made sure every unit had a kitchen area that we could stock with a satisfying continental breakfast. We bake muffins from scratch daily, and we use the freshest local berries in season for a delicious fruit cup. There’s also yogurt, cereal, juice and milk. We’ll gladly accommodate your special dietary needs when possible.
The room also comes equipped with a coffee maker and your choice of coffee, tea, chai or hot chocolate.
The best part is: all of this is waiting in your cottage or suite when you arrive so that you can have breakfast the following morning on your schedule. Get up at the crack of dawn or sleep until noon, there’s no schedule here at Hidden Garden Cottages & Suites.
We also provide you with a daily treat. From homemade cookies to local cheese & crackers, we make sure to use the freshest local ingredients. The state of Michigan ranks second, behind California in the variety of crops grown. We take full advantage of this amazing gift. Twice a week, we head up to the Holland’s Farmers’ Market. From the first rhubarb in the Spring to the last local cranberries in the Fall, we want to give you the best Pure Michigan experience possible.
The same attention to local products is evident in our special packages and add-ons. We scour the Michigan countryside to bring you the best cheeses, chutneys and meats. We are surrounded by fantastic wineries, breweries and cider houses. We pride ourselves on making sure every detail of your stay is perfect.
